This volume seems to follow in the footsteps of other regional catalogs presented by the publisher (the one on Spain and Portugal comes readily to mind). The geographic area covered is pretty much north of the Alps and inclusive of the British Isles. As an advantage, it is more compact than the Standard Catalog format, and hence easier to use.

In recent years I’ve noticed sales (auctions, whatever) honing in on Germany and, in particular, Russia, so this book could strike a chord with many collectors. It’s one of those books you want to read before buying the coins.
